The City of Belle Plaine Office of Emergency Management has the primary responsibility for emergency management activities in the City. When the emergency or disaster exceeds the City's combined emergency response capabilities and resources, County and/or State assistance will be requested through the Kansas Office of Emergency Services and Federal assistance will be provided to the State and the County when appropriate and in accordance with the Kansas Emergency Operations Plan, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Federal Response Plan, and the FEMA Regional Response Plan.
