Belle Plaine Recycling Program
Belle Plaine residents are encouraged to bring
items to 80th & Line on the 2nd Saturday of
each month. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Volunteers will be on hand to
assist you.
What can you bring?
- Newspaper - Clean & Dry
- Magazines & Catalogs (no bound books)
- Office Pack Papers (no manila or bright colors, file folders,
carbon paper, unopened junk mail)
- Cardboard (flattened, flat finish, NO WAX)
- Paper Grocery Sacks
- Phone Books
- Glass (separate by color - clear, brown, blue/green) Glass
must be clean & empty with lids and rings removed. Labels do NOT need
to be removed. No broken glass. Food and beverage glass
containers only. NO window glass, light bulbs, ceramics, auto glass or
mirrors.
- Plastic (All items must be empty & clean. Flatten if possible.
Labels do not need to be removed. Remove lids. Separate by type
& color. #1 PETE (beverage bottles, pop & water) #2 HDPE NO
COLOR (milk & juice jugs) #2 KDPE COLORED (laundry detergent,
juice, butter tubs)
- Cans (Aluminum and Steel/Tin) Keep separate (no
aluminum foil or pans. No loose lids)
The Belle Plaine Recycling Program
is a partnership of the City of Belle Plaine, Paradise Valley Pride, and
Sunflower RC & D to make it convenient to recycle goods and to reduce the amount
of trash hauled to the landfill. Thank you for your support.
