City Utility bills are mailed out on the 1st of every month and are due by the 15th of every month. City utilities include water, sewer, and trash (city owned).  If bills are not paid by the due date, there will be a 10% penalty added to the bill.  After the due date there is a 10-day grace period.  If the bill is still not paid on the 11th day, UTILITIES WILL BE DISCONNECTED.  There will then be a $30 disconnect/reconnect service charge added to the account. The account MUST be paid in full with cash payment including the $30.00 charge before the water can be reconnected.

Trash carts (90 gallons) can be rented for $2.00 a month or purchased for $75.00.  Trash will not be picked up if it has limbs, grass clippings, or leaves in it.  Limbs, grass clippings, and leaves may be taken to the city burn pit.  Keys for the burn pit may be picked up at the City Building during business hours or at the Police Department after business hours.  All loads that are taken to the burn pit must be inspected before the key is given out.  Also, the burn pit is to be used by the CITY OF BELLE PLAINE RESIDENTS ONLY AND DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS.  The burn pit is located one mile south and one mile West of Pizza Hut.
