CITY UTILITY BILLS ARE MAILED ON THE 1ST OF EVERY MONTH AND ARE DUE BY THE 15TH OF EVERY MONTH.
City utilities include water, sewer, and trash (city owned). There is a one-time connection fee of $20.00 and a deposit is required for new residents. When the bill is paid on or before the 15th of the month for 12 consecutive months, the deposit will be credited to the account along with interest. Bills are due by the 15th of each month, after which a 10% penalty will be applied. Bills unpaid by the 25th of the month will be subject to disconnection. There will then be a $30.00 disconnect/reconnect service charge added to the account for water. Trash and curbside recycling services are performed by an independent contractor but are billed through the city utilities. To have a bulk item picked up, call City Hall by Monday at noon for that week’s service. Residential trash service inside the city limits is picked up every Wednesday. Recycling is picked up every other Wednesday. Go to the City’s website,www.bpks.org/company-calendar, for the recycling schedule.
